On the heights of Moudon, Beauregard lives up to its name, offering a marvellous panorama of the Pre-Alps, the Alps and the surrounding countryside. A hike that starts through the town of Moudon and reaches the Péquinsin natural reserve in about 30 minutes. A change of scenery.

The departure is given on the parking lot of Moudon's train station. You then follow the yellow signs " tourisme pédestre " in direction of la Ville-Haute. After 20 minutes of light climbing, you reach the castle of Carrouge.

It is now time to leave the built-up area to find yourself in the middle of nature, with a nice view of the city. This itinerary quickly takes you to the natural forest reserve of Péquinsin.

After about 3.4 km of walking and a few meters of climbing, you will reach the charming Beauregard refuge, which is also the start of a vita trail. The panorama is magnificent.

In the foreground you'll see fields stretching as far as the eye can see. In the distance, you'll see a row of mountains rising in the distance, and just behind these mountains you see the majestic Alps. Some of you may recognize their famous peaks.

You continue on your way and cross the hamlets of Planchemont and Planche-Signal before starting the second part of the hike in a forest for almost 5 km.

You then join the initial trail to find Moudon at the end of this beautiful hike.
