This splendid trail starts at the railway station in Granges-Marnand, continues to the village of Villarzel, passing through Marnand, before it returns to its starting point. A landscape suitable for hikers who like nature as well as a challenge! The trail is not suitable for pushchairs. Walk proposed by the community of Valbroye.

Point of interest

 

1.  Rocher de molasse

This is located along the Côte à Roud, on the heights of Marnand. It leads straight to the Moulin aux Ânes (donkey’s mill) clearing.

2.  Passerelle

By this small footbridge located in the middle of the trail you cross the Marnand brook before climbing towards Villarzel.

3.  Église de Villarzel

Dating from the 13th century, it is dedicated to Saint George. It stands out by its arcaded bell tower, so typical of Romanesque art.
