From the heights of Moudon to the Jorat

Beauregard offers an exceptional panorama of the Alps and the Pre-Alps. Depending on the weather, you can admire the Mont-Blanc massif in wintertime and summertime. The place is very appreciated by families and hikers for taking a break and having a picnic. You will find benches and a picnic table next to the 50 seats hut which is for rent.

This mansion was built in 1769 by the Polier family, who owned it for a long time. The house stands out amid agricultural buildings. The commune became owner of the Château in 1982, carried out maintenance work and rented it out.

Chapelle-sur-Moudon, dedicated to Saint Martin and Saint Blaise and dating from the 13th century, became an annex to the parish of St-Cierges at the time of the Reformation and was transformed in 1724 with the addition of a bell tower. A magnificent 15th century stained glass window decorates the choir, representing the Crucifixion on the one hand and the Virgin and Child on the other. It is one of the few in the canton having escaped destruction during the Reformation.
