our region is particularly appreciated by equestrians, hikers and cyclists.
Golf is also enjoyed in the rolling valleys and trees. Climbers in search of an
adrenaline rush can scale the Sottens tower, highest point on the Vaud plateau.
CPRP - Motorcycle riding school (Moudon)
The CPRP offers professional training on all aspects of piloting an all-terrain motorcycle, from the vehicle to equipment, including practicing on its 5000 square metres of indoor and outdoor track.
Fitness Trails (Moudon, Lucens, Mézières, Oron)
60 exercise points, 10 kilometres of track and 240 metres of gradient works out to a total 12.4 kilometres of effort. The four fitness trails of the region are considered middling to difficult.
Gecko Escalade (Sottens)
With around 1000m2 of vertical climbs, a blocking room and a children’s wall, this indoor climbing centre has something for everyone. In addition to a number of courses and outside excursions, Gecko organises a vertiginous climb to the top of the Sottens antenna.
Grand-Pré swimming pool (Moudon)
With three pools, a long water slide and a playground, Grand-Pré is in an ideal situation, close to public transportation yet away from the bustle of the town centre, in a tranquil and green setting by the Broye.
L’Ochette Swimming Pool (Moudon)
This indoor swimming pool, located within a school campus, is open to the public outside school hours. Aqua gym, aqua-cycling and swimming lessons.
La Perraire horse farm (Cremin)
The Perraire horse farm is open all year for horseback and pony rides, for the whole family, a group of friends or alone, in the green and gently sloping countryside. An interesting feature is its former barn which has been turned into a workshop-art gallery.
Mini-golf on grass (Cremin)
Combining the simple rules of mini-golf, golf holes and the clubs of swin-golf, this unusual outdoor game is played on 2 courses with a total of 27 holes, in a beautiful setting with a magnificent view of the Pre-Alps.
Mountain bike trail with obstacles (Cremin)
No fewer than 13 obstacles line this 5.7 km sign-posted trail through woods and fields, all of which have been tested and rated by mountain bike champion Georges Luthi, offering cyclists three levels of difficulty.
Ponies of the Broye (Curtilles)
In addition to courses leading to the certificate, the pony club of the Curtilles stable also offers courses in jumping, rides and different internships, camps and treks during school holidays.
Scaling the national radio antenna (Sottens)
The altitude at the top of this historic landmark is 900 metres, the highest viewpoint towering over the Gros-de-Vaud. Gecko Escalade will lead you to the top of this 125 m. antenna.
Within 20 minutes, you will have mastered the rules of this amusing sport which calls for a single club and a soft ball. Played on a natural outdoor field, this is an easy and fun game to share with family and friends.
Tennis Sports Centre (Granges-près-Marnand)
With two squash courts, two badminton courts and three indoor tennis courts, this centre welcomes both members and occasional players. The cloakrooms, showers and parking lot are free of charge.
Vuissens Golf Club (Vuissens)
Designed by the famous architect J. Pern in a 128-acre valley, the Vuissens golf course is located next to an 18th century château. The charming 18-hole course is bordered by forest, has many ponds and and is crossed by a natural stream.
